I'm very impressed with the ultra-matt finish and quality of the images. You certainly need a high-lumen or laser projector. My home setup features a Samsung 130” 4K Triple Laser Projector, which I believe maximises the benefits of the painted screen.

FAQ's

In the realm of creating engaging and dynamic visual experiences, blended projections are a favoured method employed in a variety of settings such as art installations, theatres, and extensive presentations. To attain a seamless integration of multiple projections, selecting the appropriate projection screen is vital. Our projection screen paint serves as an optimal solution for merging several projections onto a single surface. With its advanced formulation, our black projector paint is specially engineered to support the blending process and produce exceptional results.

Blending projections necessitate precise colour fidelity, consistent brightness, and superior light diffusion to ensure a smooth transition between displayed images. Our projection screen paint has been created with these critical elements in mind, enabling you to achieve a unified and immersive display.

In terms of large-scale screens, our projection screen paint removes the necessity for bulky and costly physical screens, offering a more adaptable and budget-friendly option for blending projections. Transform any area into an immersive canvas where numerous projections come together seamlessly, captivating your audience.

The Sound Absorption Coefficient (SAC) quantifies the amount of sound energy absorbed by a material when sound waves encounter it. For our evaluations, we measured the SAC of a 12mm gypsum board, a widely used construction material.

The SAC can differ based on the frequency of the sound waves passing through the material. Since various sound frequencies possess different wavelengths, these wavelengths can engage with the material in distinct ways. Consequently, the SAC values provided represent a range, as they will fluctuate according to the frequency of the absorbed sound waves. In our assessments, we obtained the following results:

Unpainted Board α = 0.04-0.07
Painted Board α = 0.04-0.07

The values indicated are for an unpainted 12mm gypsum board and a painted one. The α range of 0.04-0.07 for each type suggests the range of SAC values for these materials. This indicates that when sound waves interact with a 12mm gypsum board, some sound energy will be absorbed, with absorption levels falling within 0.04-0.07 depending on the sound wave frequency. Additionally, it demonstrates that our paints are acoustically transparent, as there is no difference between the unpainted and painted board.
Every type of our paint is suitable for both 2D and 3D projectors, guaranteeing optimal functionality in any projection mode. When projecting a 3D image on our paint, it effectively conveys the desired effect, providing an immersive experience when used with 3D glasses.
3D projectors function by projecting two slightly different images that overlap on the screen. These images undergo special optical filtering, which polarizes the light in varying ways for each projection. When viewing the two images through specific 3D glasses, one lens blocks one image while the other lens permits the opposite, allowing each eye to perceive a different image. Therefore, the projection screen must maintain the light's polarity when utilizing a 3D projector. All our paint products are classified as "polarity preserving," ensuring the image you perceive retains the intended polarity, which maintains the full 3D effect.
You can use either a roller or a spray method to apply any of our Projector Paints. Ensure all surfaces to be painted are clean, repair any imperfections with decorator filler, and sand the surface smooth once dry. Measure the area you intend to paint and accurately mark it with masking tape. Apply one coat of White Primer to any bare, untreated surfaces. Stir the Black Projector Screen Paint thoroughly before use. For optimal results, utilize a mohair or lint-free short pile roller sleeve for the application.
