Magnetic Whiteboard Wallpaper is made with a magnetically receptive backing layer, this then has a whiteboard layer on top so it performs just like a whiteboard but magnets also stick to it. It is applied just like a traditional wallpaper and is used just just like magnetic whiteboard where once applied to the wall you can stick magnets to it which will hold up many sheets of paper and also magnetic accessories.

The main difference between magnetic whiteboard wallpaper and magnetic whiteboard paint is the application method, the surface of the magnetic whiteboard wallpaper is also very smooth as its a factory finish. Magnetic whiteboard paint is applied with a brush whereas the magnetic whiteboard wallpaper is not. One advantage of the whiteboard paint is the fact there are no joints when you cover a large surface.The advantage of the magnetic whiteboard wallpaper is its speed of installation and its a factory standard finish.

Use Smart Neo Magnets or any good quality neodymium magnets for best results.

Smart Magnetic Whiteboard Wallpaper can be applied by professional and non-professional users. They are applied just like any other commercial wallpaper, using a vinyl on vinyl wallpaper adhesive which must be used to install these wallpapers, normal wallpaper adhesive is not suitable.

Please ensure you have read our the Application Guide below, before beginning the installation.

Care must be taken when unpacking and handling not to bend or crease the wallpaper, as this may damage the surface.

For our Magnetic Wallpapers you must use a vinyl on vinyl adhesive. Use a roller to apply the adhesive to the wall. Apply two good coats. Additional adhesive may be required at the edges.

Smart Magnetic Wallpapers can be hung horizontally or vertically, depending on your preference. We recommend horizontally.

When applying any of Smarter Surfaces magnetic vinyl wallpapers, butt the joints, or overlap and double cut through both layers with a sharp blade. A well craft joint is not visbale from a couple of meters away.

Smart Magnetic Wallpapers are designed to be applied to any reasonably smooth surface. They can also be applied to curved surfaces. Ensure any loose material from previous coatings or wallpaper have been removed. Absorbent surfaces should be treated with Smart White Primer before application.

For our Magnetic Wallpapers you must use a vinyl on vinyl wallpaper adhesive. Use a roller to apply the adhesive to the wall. Apply two good coats.

For Smart Whiteboard Wallpaper and Smart Magnetic Whiteboard Wallpaper, the Gloss Measurement is 98 GU at 60 degrees.

For Smart Whiteboard Wallpaper Low Sheen and Smart Magnetic Whiteboard Wallpaper Low Sheen the Gloss Measurement is 41 GU at 60 degrees.

Smart Magnetic Whiteboard Wallpaper installation

Smart Magnetic Whiteboard Wallpaper is an easy to hang writable wallcovering that offers a smooth seamless dry erase surface that is ready to use in just 48 hours. We recommend professional installation for best results.

This whiteboard wallpaper with added magnetic functionality is extremely easy to apply and can be hung horizontally, vertically and even on curved rounded walls. We recommend hanging the wallpaper horizontally to facilitate working at eye level.

It is vital that your surface is smooth before application. Really absorbent surfaces, such as new plaster, should be treated with a primer before application. We recommend using our Smart White Primer as it has been tested to work with our wallcoverings.

When your surface is ready, roll the wallpaper out on the floor for measuring and cutting. Measure the wallpaper to the desired length and cut with sharp scissors.

A vinyl over vinyl adhesive must be used for all our magnetic and magnetic dry erase wallpaper wallcoverings. Regular vinyl adhesive is not suitable for multi-function wallpapers.

Add 5% water to the ready mixed heavy duty adhesive and stir to ensure a smooth consistency. Apply two coats of this adhesive to the wall with a roller. Allow the first coat of adhesive to become touch dry before applying the second coat of adhesive. You can then hang the whiteboard wallcovering.

Once the dry erase projectable wallpaper has been applied you must wait 48 hours before using the surface. A full and much more detailed application guide is available to help you apply our whiteboard wallcovering.
