The main difference between magnetic whiteboard wallpaper and magnetic whiteboard paint is the application method, the surface of the magnetic whiteboard wallpaper is also very smooth as its a factory finish. Magnetic whiteboard paint is applied with a brush whereas the magnetic whiteboard wallpaper is not. One advantage of the whiteboard paint is the fact there are no joints when you cover a large surface.The advantage of the magnetic whiteboard wallpaper is its speed of installation and its a factory standard finish.

For better results, use a vinyl-on-vinyl adhesive when installing Magnetic Wallpapers. Apply the adhesive to the wall using a roller, ensuring two thorough coats. Additional adhesive may be necessary along the edges for a safe application.

Yes, Magnetic Wallpapers can be installed either horizontally or vertically, depending on your preference. However, we recommend horizontal installation for the best results.

To achieve good results when applying Smarter Surfaces magnetic vinyl wallpapers, align the edges accurately (butt joints) or overlap and double-cut through both layers using a sharp blade. A properly crafted joint will be virtually invisible from a few meters away.

Magnetic Wallpapers are suitable for application on any smooth surface, including curved surfaces. Before installation, ensure that any loose material from previous coatings or wallpapers is removed. For absorbent surfaces, we recommend applying a coat of White Primer before proceeding.

We recommend using a vinyl on vinyl wallpaper adhesivewhen applying the Magnetic Wallpaper. Use a roller to evenly apply the adhesive to the wall, ensuring two thorough coats for best adhesion.

Use your smart whiteboard surface with any normal whiteboard markers and accessories. We recommend keeping the surface clean and not leaving the ink overnight if possible, especially for the first month. After the first month, periodically remove the build-up of marker residue with a standard whiteboard cleaner.

Smart Magnetic Whiteboard Wallpaper installation

Magnetic Whiteboard Wallpaper is an easy-to-install writable wall covering that offers a smooth, seamless dry erase surface, ready for use in 48 hours. For the best results, we recommend hiring a professional for installation.

This whiteboard wallpaper has magnetic properties and can be applied effortlessly, whether installed horizontally, vertically, or on curved walls. For easier access at eye level, it is advisable to hang it horizontally.

It is crucial that the surface is smooth before application. Surfaces that are highly absorbent, such as fresh plaster, should be primed before applying the wallpaper. We recommend our White Primer, as it has been tested for compatibility with our wall coverings.

Once the surface is prepared, spread the dry erase magnetic roll on the floor to measure and cut it. Use sharp scissors to cut the wallpaper to your preferred length.

A vinyl-over-vinyl adhesive should be utilised for all the magnetic and magnetic dry erase wallpaper products. Regular vinyl adhesive is unsuitable for multifunctional wall coverings.

Mix 5% water into the ready-mixed heavy-duty adhesive and stir well to achieve an even consistency. Apply two coats of this adhesive to the wall using a roller, waiting for the first coat to feel dry before adding the second coat. After that, you can proceed to hang the whiteboard wallpaper.
